The QLED (Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode) device is coming: tests and experiments in progress.

The result is a device with a total thickness comparable to wallpaper, but with surprising lighting performance.

A real revolution in the world of lighting is taking hold with the introduction of an ultra-thin and flexible LED, capable of adapting to every need.

Abandoning the traditional bulb format, this new technology offers natural, energy-efficient light with a completely customizable design.

Whether in small spaces or unusual shapes, the new LED integrates perfectly, ensuring superior performance and minimal environmental impact.

An important step towards more versatile and sustainable lighting.

As Xianghua Wang, one of the lead authors of the study published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, points out: “This work demonstrates the feasibility of ultra-thin, large-area quantum dot LEDs that closely match the solar spectrum. These devices could enable next-generation eye-friendly displays, adaptive indoor lighting, and even wavelength-tunable sources for horticultural or wellness applications.”
